Background

CommentYourCode was born out of a challenging period in the founder's academic journey—specifically, in the final stretch of their university degree. This was a time filled with pressure as they balanced the demands of completing final assessments while also preparing for technical job interviews.

During this intense period, the founder turned to a variety of online resources to enhance their coding skills and gain exposure to a broader range of problems. Like many aspiring developers, they found themselves engrossed in tutorials, forums, and coding challenges, trying to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.

However, with limited time to spare, they often faced difficulties tackling challenging problems. In moments of frustration, they resorted to searching the internet for quick solutions. While copying and pasting code offered immediate relief, they quickly realized that they weren't truly learning or grasping the underlying concepts.

This experience inspired the original idea behind CommentYourCode: a resource designed to help others navigate similar roadblocks. The belief is that understanding the "why" and "how" behind solving problems is just as crucial as finding the solution itself. Although the concept took a backseat after the founder secured a graduate position, it resurfaced during their early days on the job.

In those initial months, the importance of planning, documentation, and mastering foundational programming skills became clear for seamless project execution. This reinforced their conviction in mastering the basics and laid the foundation for what CommentYourCode aims to achieve today.
